November Voting Changes Encouraged

The Suffield Democratic Town Committee endorses the Centers for Disease Control polling place guidelines encouraging the use of absentee balloting for the prevention of disease transmission in the November election. 

Governor Lamont has already allowed for voters to vote in the August primary election using absentee ballots, with an absentee ballot request sent to all active voters.  We encourage the Governor and the Secretary of State to implement the same process for the November 3rd election.  Older and at-risk individuals will continue to be wary of group gatherings and need to be able to vote by mail.
