Why James is running for BOE:
As a parent of 3 children that are at the start of their educational path in the Suffield Public Schools, I have a vested interest in the success of the district. With the district having lived through a tumultuous period, I joined the BOE in December 2018 because there were multiple very important matters coming up that would shape the short and long term future of the district. With a strong Board of Education Team in these past months we have made great strides in bringing stability back to the district; this will allow us now to truly set out a long-term vision and a path to success for each and every student in our schools. I would love to continue this work on the Board so that I can assure the best possible education for all the children within the Suffield Public Schools.
